The Brokerage Sales Consultant is responsible for recruiting, developing, and maintaining relationships with insurance agents and financial advisors with a focus on Disability Income Insurance.  The customer base will include existing customers from our three BGA’s and the HUB National Account, as well as new relationships to be developed by the sales consultant. Duties will include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads, and maintaining relationships with existing customers. The Brokerage Sales Consultant will also recommend marketing strategies designed for a target market.

Responsibilities:
  • Promotes and sells products and services to hit and surpass profitability goals through suggestive sales techniques.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of carrier/product portfolio
  • Participate in and lead training seminars in-person or online.
  • Maintain detailed notes in AMS/CRM with prospects/customers
  • Maintain call list as assigned
  • Sets appointments with customers
  • Reviews and resolves complaints professionally and expeditiously.
  • Recruit new reps by using high-level insight skills
  • Assist current Reps in building their practice by Training/Mentoring with sales and looking for cross-selling opportunities
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in insurance, wealth management, or financial services
  • Life and Health Insurance License required
  • Disability Income experience is a plus
Competencies:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail ensuring speed and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Proven computer skills including working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS CE, and Word

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $50,000-$60,000, with additional and significant commission opportunity. This compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
